Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. The result was the state government imposing more stringent regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. She also works as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
